Methodology

Each night the pipeline finds newly-reported Israel-related funding and company news, then researches every new company it hasn't seen in the last 7 days.

Sources

Israeli tech/funding coverage — Calcalist/CTech, Globes, TheMarker, Times of Israel, VC Cafe, Geektime, NoCamels, Finsmes, Startup Nation Central — plus databases (PitchBook, Crunchbase, Tracxn, Dealroom) for cross-checking, and one open-ended catch-all search for niche/foreign sources.

Grounding & extraction

Facts are grounded against multiple corroborating sources; every funding event carries a source link. Company websites are crawled by a polite, browserless crawler (honest self-identifying bot, llms.txt first, high-value pages prioritized, navigation/boilerplate stripped) and the site text is used as first-party evidence.

Confidence & transparency

Every profile carries a confidence label (high/medium/low) and the timestamp it was last researched. Unknown values are marked explicitly rather than guessed; amounts, investors and dates are never invented. When a company's overall total isn't cleanly reported we show a lower bound (“More than $X”) from the rounds we can see. The home page always shows when the data was last updated and whether the last nightly run succeeded.
